His Excellency Hon. Dr. Kalonzo Musyoka, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mumo Kisau, the invited guests, the Board of Trustees, the University Council members, University Management Board, Senate, Staff, Students, and graduands. Praise God!

It is an honor to be amongst you today. Congratulations to you all who are celebrating the hard work which has come to fruition. To God be the glory!

Dear Graduands,

It has taken the hand of God to have us all here and now. It is His grace and mercies that we are alive. As we all know many have lost their dear ones due to Covid-19, but He, who is the Life -giver has kept us. That is not to be taken for granted. In everything, may we all give thanks to God.

Dear Graduands,

Parents, guardians and all who have invested so much in your education. As you have already learned, discipline and consistency are key to achieving your goals. Remember that if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. As you go out there, step out confident that with the quality education already gained at Scott Christian University, and God by your side, you shall overcome any obstacle.

Dear Graduands,

As we gather here in times of extraordinary difficulty for the nation and the world, the economy remains in the midst of a pandemic. Now we releasing you to go out in times when the nation is healing from the pandemic.  I urge you today, do not engage in narrow pursuit of popularity or personal advancement, but of devotion to some bigger purpose, the determination to wholeheartedly serve others. Your colleagues, and your community. Colossians 3:23 advises us… “and whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not to men.”

To the Church and the Nation,

The AIC-Kenya is fully behind this university and we thank God for the excellent work the Board of Trustees, the University Council, the Senate and the Management Board are doing to ensure quality education is offered. Many thanks to the Government of Kenya for the continued support through placement of students at Scott Christian University. We want to assure His Excellency, the President that Scott Christian University shall continue to train these students to serve our great nation for the glory of God. I urge parents and guardians to bring your children to Scott Christian University for a holistic development. Your child will not only acquire knowledge, gain skills but their character will be developed. Scott Christian University will shape your child so that they graduate as a god-fearing professional ready to serve the society for God’s glory.

Dear graduands,

In conclusion, as you head out endeavor to build a body of work. Wake up each day determined to work toward giving your best each day. Be a somebody who cares, a somebody who makes a difference in their neighbors’ lives. The daily individual acts, the choices, large or small that add up over time over lifetime, making up a lasting legacy. This is what building a body of work is about. Always remember that with God on your side, nothing is impossible!

God Bless You All. Congratulations class of 2020!
