Governance

How the university
is led and governed.

Scott Christian University is governed by a Board of Trustees, which holds the institution in trust, and a University Council, which provides strategic oversight and stewardship of its affairs.

Board of Trustees
Holds the assets and Christian foundation of the university in trust on behalf of the Africa Inland Church Kenya, and safeguards its mission and identity.
University Council
The supreme governing body for strategy, finance and policy — overseeing management, approving budgets and ensuring sound stewardship.

The people who hold us in trust.

Appointed by the Africa Inland Church Kenya, the trustees safeguard the university's Christian foundation, charter and long-term mission.

Presiding Bishop, Africa Inland Church Kenya. Chairs the Board of Trustees and custodian of the university's charter.

General Secretary of the AIC Kenya. Maintains the records and resolutions of the Board.

Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. Advises the Board on legal and compliance matters.

The Council sets strategy, approves budgets and policy, and holds management accountable for the university's performance and resources.
