Scott Christian University has partnered with Compassion International to train men and women from Nairobi , Costal and Kisumu regions in ministry in order to contribute to the spiritual and social transformation of churches and communities. The partnership seeks to empower church leadership and followership to contribute in holistic child development, united local churches championing communities’ spiritual and social transformation and increase participation of community members in spiritual and social transformation initiatives.

The program enhances knowledge, attitude. Skills and practices on theology and development of men and women from compassion implementing church partners. It also enhances their ability in overseeing effective Holistic Child Development. In addition, local churches are empowered to actively participate in spiritual and social development initiatives in the community especially in the achievement of holistic child development.

Scott Christian University partners with a number of academic institutions in several capacities. Academically Scott partners with several institutions to offer accreditation for their programmes or to allow them to offer curriculum developed at SCU under certain terms and conditions. Other partnerships allow resources and facilities to be shared. Sharing library journals and e-resources through partnerships and collaboration expands the accessible information resources to all involved parties. In the future SCU hopes to partner with other universities and academic institutions to provide cross-cultural exchange programmes for students and faculty as well as engaging in joint research ventures.

All partnerships and collaborations fall under the Office of Quality Assurance and Academic Collaboration. Our desire is to see SCU continue to grow in the department of Academic Collaboration and reap increasing benefits from these collaborations and partnerships.
